APPOINTMENTS DURING COVID-19
Throughout the current pandemic, the practice has continued to remain open to provide urgent services to our patient population.
At this present time, we continue to operate an urgent appointment system from our Newport practice only. Our Tayport practice remains closed at present following a risk assessment regarding Covid-19 transmission. If you have a medical condition which you feel is urgent in nature and you require the assistance of a GP, please contact the practice at 8am (Monday to Friday) to arrange a telephone consultation with one of the GPs. We are not currently providing routine appointments that can be booked in advance.
If you require an appointment with a practice nurse or healthcare assistance, you can now pre-book an appointment by contacting the practice during our opening hours (8am - 6pm) (Monday to Friday). Appointments can be booked up to one week in advance at present and our receptionists will ask you for a brief reason for your appointment in order to allocate you with the most appropriate member of our nursing team.
If you have developed Covid-19 symptoms and require medical assistance regarding those symptoms, you should contact the practice directly for further assistance.
Our practice doors are now opened. However, please do not attend the practice, or request access to the practice, unless you have been advised to do so by a member of the practice team.
Should you arrange a pre-bookable appointment with a member of our nursing team and develop symptoms of Covid-19 prior to your appointment, it is very important that you do not attend the practice for your appointment and contact us to cancel your appointment. You should also arrange an appointment to be tested for Covid-19.
